I feel like I can’t speak fluently in any language, even my native language.
I’ve always admired people who can talk about one subject for a long time. I’ve never been very good at expressing my thoughts through words.
Maybe that’s why I’m drawn to visual expression.
There are many ways to express ourselves, and visual art is one of the ways I communicate my emotions, thoughts, and messages.
In my work, I often depict people with their eyes closed.
Their closed eyes don’t represent ignorance or passivity. Instead, they represent a state of actively experiencing and responding to the world, even without being consciously aware of it.
I’ve been thinking about how to express this idea through my work.
The world is changing so quickly.
I often ask myself, “Am I adapting to this changing world?”
I still don’t have a clear answer.
But one thing I know is that I am moving with the times, whether I intend to or not.
In the past, I thought adaptation was something I consciously chose to do. Now, I realize that we are constantly changing because of the environments we live in, sometimes without even noticing it.
This idea of unconscious transformation has become an important part of my artistic practice.
